INTRODUCTION 

This website and server is owned by @oceanwavez on Discord. The word "organization" is used as a reference to the community in a broad sense, but should not be confused with any legal terminology or the concept of a registered organization. Bridges of Faith is not a registered organization nor company. These Terms set forth the terms and conditions under which you may use our website, server, and services as offered by us. By accessing or using the website, Discord server, or any other assets of this organization, you approve that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any of our Community Guidelines or the Terms, then you are not eligible to use our Service. We also ask that you read our Community Guidelines and Privacy Policy.

Please read these Terms & Conditions ("Terms", "Terms of Service", "Terms of Use", "Terms of Services") carefully before accessing or using any assets owned by or managed by Bridges of Faith. Bridges of Faith ("BoF") is a community and unregistered organization based on theology/religion, philosophy, and other intellectual topics. Primarily based on Discord, we are a diverse community welcoming to people of any faith or background. Our goal is to spread love, kindness, understanding, and to provide a safe place for people to learn, have civil debates/discussions, and open their minds to different perspectives.

In the context of "Service", we are referring to any assets owned or managed by Bridges of Faith or the owner, @oceanwavez, for the community. This includes, but is not limited to: this website, our social media, our Discord server, our contact forms, and the means of communication we provide.

SERVER ACCESS

In order to join our server, you must be at least 13 years of age, and possess the legal authority, right, and freedom to enter into these Terms as a binding agreement. You are not allowed to use this website nor join our server if doing so is prohibited in your country or under any law or regulation applicable to you.

CODE OF CONDUCT

You are required to follow our Community Guidelines at all times whilst using the Service. Our rules are founded on seven core values that you can read more about in our Community Guidelines. We urge you to always be respectful and kind to other members of the community. If you have any issues with any members of the community, you can file a report here.

You agree to not use the Service or any assets thereof to:

• Harass, defame, libel, ridicule, mock, stalk, threaten, intimidate, or abuse anyone directly or indirectly;

• Post, upload, transmit, or otherwise disseminate content (incl. messages, videos, audio, voice calls, music, websites, links) that violates or is objectionable to our Community Guidelines;

• Engage in conduct that is illegal, fraudulent, inappropriate, offensive, obscene, or harmful to Discord, Google, Bridges of Faith, or any member;

• Encourage, promote, support, fail to report, fail to object to, or fail to uphold integrity and honesty any content, members, or behavior that violates the law or any of our Terms or Community Guidelines;

• Abuse any elements on any part of our Service. This includes, but is not limited to; submitting false reports, lying on reports, spamming, mass-notifying/pinging, obstructing content, abuse of powers, and anything that abuses the reasonably intended procedures and usage for the Service and elements thereof;

• Violate the contractual, personal, intellectual property or other rights of any party including using, uploading, transmitting, distributing, or otherwise making available any information made available through the organization in any manner that infringes any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other right of any party (including rights of privacy or publicity);

• Attempt to obtain passwords or other private information from other members;

• Exploit, distribute, or publicly inform other members of any error, miscue, or bug which gives an unintended advantage or accessibility to exploitation; violate any applicable laws or regulations; or promote or encourage illegal activity including, but not limited to, hacking, cracking, or distribution of counterfeit software, compromised accounts, or cheats or hacks for any of our assets or the programs we use;

• Spam any type of content or messages in a way that is objectionable to our Community Guidelines;

• Violate the privacy of another individual including, but not limited to: personal information (and the attempt to gain, the sharing, or the receiving thereof), transmission of unsolicited messages, transmission of content the member did not reasonably intend to be shared publicly with other members (unless for moderation reasons), impersonation, speak of unreasonably, or otherwise infringe the rights and expectations of privacy for that individual;

• Engage in the promotion of hatred, oppression, or violence against any group or individual on the basis of age, race, ethnicity, color, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, location, ability or disability, disease, or economic status;

• Engage in the promotion, encouragement, or dissemination of false, oppressive, or harmful information or evidence;

• Compromise the safety or property of any members or the community in any way; including but not limited to the dissemination of IP-loggers, location-grabbers, DOXING, info-grabbers, viruses or system malware, or any other unsafe practices thereof;

• Violate any of our Terms, Community Guidelines, or policies; and in accessing our Service on other platforms, violate the terms of Discord, Google, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or other platforms our content is accessible/located on.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & COPYRIGHT

The Service and all materials (aside from Your Content as will be explained in the next section) therein or transferred thereby, including software, images, text, graphics, logos, emojis, stickers, patents, trademarks, service marks, copyrights, photographs, audio, videos, music, and all Intellectual Property Rights related thereto, are the exclusive property of @oceanwavez. Except as explicitly provided herein, nothing in these Terms shall be deemed to create a license in or under any such Intellectual Property Rights, and you agree not to sell, license, rent, modify, distribute, copy, reproduce, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, publish, adapt, or creative derivatives of any of our works.

YOUR CONTENT

You recognize and agree that by uploading any content (including, but not limited to: your profile, messages, comments, posts, designs, images, animations, videos, audio files, fonts, logos, illustrations, compositions, artworks, interfaces, text, and literary works) through any means, you confirm that you own all the relevant rights or received the appropriate license to upload/transfer/send the content. You agree, consent, and understand that the uploaded/transferred content may be publicly displayed on any part of our Service. Any content you transmit, on any part of our Service, is YOUR CONTENT, and you hold full liability and responsibility for the content you transmit from or to your account. We reserve the right to moderate, remove, or modify any content you transmit through any means of our Service.

COMMUNICATION

You agree to receive communication via direct messages, email (if you provide it to us), or other means of communication by us in regards to the Service, moderation, your account, and other purposes.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Bridges of Faith or the owner, @oceanwavez, be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to: damages, losses, incidents, or consequences arising out of or relating to the use of, or inability to use, the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bridges of Faith and the owner, @oceanwavez, assume no liability or responsibility for any (i) errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies of content or (ii) personal injury or property damage, of any nature whatsoever, resulting from your access to or use of our Service.

Bridges of Faith will not be held liable for any messages, content, illegal conduct, or otherwise alarming content you send or someone sends to you, but we will do our best to moderate it as soon as possible. We are not responsible for any false or harmful conduct or actions other members may take. If you have a report on any member of the server, please contact us via our ticket system within the Discord server, and we will attempt to resolve the situation as soon as possible.

In the case of a violation of terms on Discord, you have the responsibility of reporting conduct that breaks Discord Terms of Service to their Trust & Safety Team. In the case of a violation of the law, please contact the proper authorities. In the case of website malfunctions, please contact @oceanwavez. 

INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold the owner, @oceanwavez, harmless from any demands, loss, liability, claims or expenses (including attorneys’ fees), made against them by any third party due to, or arising out of, or in connection with your use of our server or any other parts of our Service. In the incredibly rare case any legal concerns or issues arise, please contact bridgesoffaith.community@gmail.com.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We reserve the right to modify these Terms from time to time at our sole discretion. Therefore, you should review this page periodically. When we change the Terms in a material manner, we will attempt to notify you of any major material changes that have been made. Your continued use of our Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to any of these terms or any future version of the Terms, do not use or access (or continue to access) our Service.

TERMINATION POLICY

We reserve the right to moderate, suspend, limit, or permanently/temporarily terminate your access from the Service with or without reason, including if in our sole determination you violate any provision of these Terms or any applicable laws or regulations. We also reserve the right to discontinue any assets, or even the Service itself, at any time. Breaking our Terms will result in repercussions ranging from a warning to a permanent ban from our server; and a possible report to authorities or platform administrators depending on the extent of your behavior. If you have been banned from using our Service, you may attempt to appeal by contacting us via email or submitting this form. Do not attempt to evade any moderation actions taken against you.

You may discontinue your usage of the Service at any time by leaving the server and stopping visits to this website. Leaving the server during a detainment, however, will result in a prohibition from returning.

PRIVACY POLICY

Please note that while we manage and oversee this site's and our server's content, third-party platforms such as Discord and Google Sites (the program this site uses) operate under their own privacy policies. We encourage users to review the policies of the aforementioned platforms for a comprehensive understanding of how their data may be used across various services.

Bridges of Faith is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to our website. While we do not collect account-based data, we may gather general information such as non-precise location data and interactions with the website via Google Analytics to enhance user experience and ensure site functionality. We do not have access to your IP address. Any personal data voluntarily provided through our server or direct communications, such as email addresses or inquiries, will be handled responsibly and solely for the purpose of responding to your inquiries or improving the services we provide. We do not sell, share, or misuse your information, and we take reasonable measures to safeguard any data you provide.

As we do not offer account-based services on this website anymore, there are no member accounts on this website. You do not need to input any information in order to access this website. Visitors may contact us for information or support, and any personal data shared in these communications will be treated with care and caution. You may request the modification or deletion of your personal data (should we have access to any of it) at any time by contacting us directly.

CONCLUSION

As elaborated in these Terms, you agree to follow and acknowledge our Terms & Conditions and Community Guidelines before joining or accessing Bridges of Faith. You understand all policies and information within these Terms and agree to abide by and follow them. You also agree to follow Discord Policy when accessing our Service on Discord, and to always abide by the laws of the United States and your jurisdiction.
